Media coverage: University of Akron to host symposium on diversity in financial planning

From Crain’s Cleveland: “The University of Akron is looking to help increase diversity in a field that traditionally hasn’t had much: financial planning and wealth management.

According to a 2019 study from Bella Research Group and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, firms owned by women and minorities made up just 1.3% of the $69 trillion under management in the U.S. financial services industry.”
